What if the parts of you that feel overwhelmed, stuck, restless, or resistant aren’t problems to fix, but messages waiting to be heard?
Autumn naturally invites us to slow down, turn inward, and notice what we’ve been carrying. But while the trees seem to release their leaves effortlessly, letting go isn’t always so simple for us.
One part of you may be exhausted and craving rest, while another insists you need to keep going.
One part may know it’s time for a change, while another is terrified of what that change could mean.
One part may desperately want to say no, while another worries about disappointing everyone.
And the more these parts pull in different directions, the easier it can be to feel overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected, or unsure of what you actually need.
The Inner Autumn is an experiential workshop inspired by Internal Family Systems (IFS) and parts work that offers a different approach.Instead of trying to silence, overcome, or "fix" the parts of yourself you struggle with, you’ll learn how to become curious about them, understand what they may be trying to protect, and discover what they actually need from you.Because sometimes meaningful change doesn’t begin with pushing harder.
It begins with listening.
From Inner Conflict to Greater Clarity & Choice
Imagine being able to notice your overthinking without immediately getting swept away by it.
To recognize your inner critic without automatically believing everything it says.
To notice the part that wants to please everyone and become curious about why saying no feels so difficult.
To understand why part of you desperately wants change while another part keeps pulling you toward what is familiar.
During The Inner Autumn, you’ll begin shifting from:"Why do I keep doing this?"to:"What is this part of me trying to do for me?"
That shift can create space between having a reaction and being completely driven by it.
You’ll leave with a deeper understanding of your internal world, greater compassion for the parts of yourself you may have judged or pushed away, and practical ways to continue listening and responding to yourself differently long after the workshop ends.
🍁 Who Is The Inner Autumn For?
This workshop may be especially meaningful if you:
• Feel mentally or emotionally exhausted from carrying too much
• Find yourself overthinking or replaying situations in your mind
• Have a strong inner critic or perfectionist
• Frequently put other people's needs ahead of your own
• Struggle to say no, set boundaries, or disappoint others
• Feel responsible for keeping everything and everyone together
• Know you need rest but have difficulty allowing yourself to slow down
• Feel stuck in patterns you understand intellectually but can't seem to change
• Find yourself pulled between what you want and what you think you "should" do
• Are navigating a transition in your relationships, career, family, identity, or season of life
• Feel ready for change while simultaneously feeling afraid of it
• Want to understand yourself more deeply without judging what you discover
• Are curious about IFS or parts work and want an accessible way to experience it
You do not need any previous experience with IFS, parts work, meditation, or somatic practices.
You simply need a willingness to become curious about yourself.
🌿 What Exactly Are "Parts"?
Have you ever thought:
"I really need to rest."...and almost immediately heard: "You don't have time for that."
Or:
"I need to start saying no." followed by: "But they'll be disappointed in me."
Perhaps one part of you wants to make a big change while another can produce a remarkably convincing list of 47 reasons why you absolutely should not.
🍂That's parts.
Internal Family Systems recognizes that we naturally have different parts within us, each carrying its own feelings, beliefs, memories, needs, and protective strategies.
You might recognize your:
Inner Critic
Perfectionist
Caretaker
People-Pleaser
Overthinker
Achiever
Fixer
Controller
Avoider
Peacekeeper
These parts aren't inherently bad. Even the ones that frustrate us often developed their roles because, at some point, they believed those roles were necessary. Rather than asking, "How do I get rid of this part?", parts work invites us to ask: "What is this part trying to protect?" That curiosity can change the conversation inside.
🍂 What We'll Explore Together
Throughout our two hours together, we'll move through four central Inner Autumn questions:
What part of me is tired?
We'll notice the parts that have been working overtime, carrying responsibilities, anticipating problems, taking care of others, achieving, managing, or simply trying to keep everything together.
What part of me is holding on?
Rather than forcing ourselves to "let go," we'll explore why certain parts may not feel ready. What are they afraid would happen if they loosened their grip? What might they be protecting? What do they need us to understand first?
What part of me wants something different?
Beneath all the managing and protecting, there may be another voice quietly asking for something more. More rest. More freedom. More creativity. More honesty. More connection. More boundaries. More joy. Or simply something different. We'll make room to hear it.
What does my inner system need in this season?
Finally, we'll bring everything together and explore what would genuinely support you in the season ahead, rather than automatically doing more of what you've always done.

💛 What You May Take Away
By the end of The Inner Autumn, you may have a clearer understanding of why certain patterns keep showing up, rather than simply feeling frustrated that they do.
You may begin to:
• Recognize your parts before automatically reacting from them
• Understand the protective intention underneath familiar behaviors
• Notice what triggers particular parts of your internal system
• Approach your inner critic, perfectionist, people-pleaser, or overthinker with greater curiosity
• Recognize internal conflict without feeling that you have to immediately solve it
• Identify what some of your hardest-working parts actually need
• Develop greater compassion toward yourself
• Feel more connected to your own needs, boundaries, and desires
• Create more space between an emotional reaction and your response
• Recognize what you're ready to begin loosening or approaching differently
• Identify what you want to carry forward into your next season
• Leave with simple parts-work practices you can continue using in everyday life
The goal isn't to leave without difficult parts. It's to leave with a different relationship with them.
🌾 The Transformation
You may arrive feeling as though you're being pulled in several directions by competing thoughts, responsibilities, expectations, emotions, and needs.
You may leave understanding that those competing voices aren't evidence that you're failing. They're information. The Inner Autumn is an invitation to move from fighting your internal experience to understanding it.
From:
reacting → noticing
judging → becoming curious
pushing → listening
inner conflict → greater understanding
automatic patterns → more intentional choices
And perhaps most importantly:
From asking,"What's wrong with me?" to wondering, "What is this part of me asking me to understand?"
That is where something new can begin.
🍃 Your Inner Autumn Intention
Before we close, you'll create a personal Inner Autumn Intention based on what you've discovered during the workshop. Rather than another goal to accomplish, your intention becomes an invitation for how you'd like to relate to yourself during the season ahead.
Perhaps yours will be:
I will listen before I push.
I can rest without earning it first.
I can become curious about the part that wants to say no.
I can honor my needs without immediately explaining them away. I can make room for both the part that wants change and the part that's afraid.
You'll leave with an intention that is uniquely yours.
🍂 You Don't Have to Force the Leaf to Fall
We often talk about autumn as the season of letting go. But parts work offers us another possibility. What if you don't have to force yourself to release anything before you're ready? What if you could first understand why you're holding on? What if the parts you've spent years criticizing aren't standing in the way of your growth, but have been trying to protect you in the only ways they knew how?And what might become possible if they finally felt heard?
Come spend two hours slowing down, turning inward, and discovering what your parts have been trying to tell you.
